Experience
Workday | DevOps Engineer | March 2021 – Present
Architecting and scaling mission-critical, self-service CI/CD pipeline supporting 10+ global teams. Improved deployment frequency and reduced delivery time by 175% through automation and introducing fast feedback loops.
Spearheading the organisational DevSecOps roadmap, integrating automated security scanning (SAST/DAST) directly into the build process. Authored a comprehensive Security Best Practices framework that standardised compliance across all engineering teams, enabling the organisation to easily stay within SLO compliance and ultimately achieve a zero vulnerability standard.
Orchestrating department-wide migrations including from legacy Docker-based Jenkins setup to a cloud-native KubeJenkins platform. Eliminated all internal jenkins maintenance costs and improved system reliability by centralising platform management and ultimately removing all hardware reliance from the devops group.
Standardising the engineering onboarding lifecycle, mentoring new hires and maintaining high-fidelity documentation that reduced "time-to-first-commit" for new joiners and focused on Collaboration and Shared Responsibility and Continuous Improvement and Learning.
Facilitating Value Stream Mapping workshops with stakeholders to identify bottlenecks, resulting in multiple improvements in lead time for changes.
  • Established an Internal Contribution Model for shared tooling, fostering a collaborative DevOps culture and accelerating feature delivery through cross-team development.
  • Extended internal contribution model across the organisation to foster collaboration and shared responsibility across the organisation. Resulting in reduced silos across the teams.
Directing the annual R&D Tax Credit technical claim process, auditing 30+ projects across 8 teams to secure greater than 2 million euros of tax relief across my tenure via meticulous documentation of engineering innovation and engagement with tax partners and revenue.
